Care values passport
At Westlea Primary School we learn together to achieve success for all. With that in mind, Our Care Values passport was created by staff to recognise and celebrate children’s achievements as they journey through our school. The passport is broken down under the headings of our Care Values: Community, Ambition, Respect, Enjoyment. Compassion, Actions, Responsibility, Endeavour. Cooperation, Achievement, Resilience, Empowerment. Under each value, we have created a list of achievements linked to those words which we aim to cover from EYFS to Year 6.
Our Care principles guide our daily actions and choices so the purpose of the passport is for pupils to participate in a range of activities which will enrich their lives and create great memories, whilst recognising more than just academic achievement. The activities will build character by encouraging our children to take on challenges, broaden their horizons, become active in their community and pursue more than just their normal interests. At Westlea we care for ourselves, each other and our wider community.
