The gallery is full of a wealth of photographs to give a real insight into the rich and varied experiences the children have in our school. Have a look at some of the wonderful things we do at our school by selecting the links from the menu.
A Special Visit
Following SAFC’s win at the Playoff Finals, Elliot Embleton and Bailey Wright came to visit the school, bringing the trophy with them. We had a red and white day. During the assembly, the children had a chance to ask the footballers some questions, pose for a photograph and get their autographs. Thank you SAFC for this amazing opportunity.
Year 2 went Outdoors and Adventurous!
In the summer, Year 2 went to Shotton Hall for the annual Outdoor and Adventurous Activity Day. They had lots of fun completing challenges involving teamwork, problem solving, patience and confidence. They met with children and teachers from other schools and represented Westlea Primary School well.
Remembrance Day
Each year, following a Remembrance Day topic, the children from Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 visit the war memorial behind Seaham Town Council offices. They spend time looking around and talking about the monument before observing a silence. We also sell poppies in school to raise money for the Royal British Legion.
